Araba Foundation was born from a deep belief that where a child is born should not determine how far they can dream. Founded as the JARAB Foundation and now rebranded as Araba Foundation, our journey began with a simple but powerful goal: to break the cycle of poverty in rural communities through education, mentorship, and advocacy.
Our founder’s personal story of growing up in a rural community where education for girls was not a priority continues to inspire our work today. We understand the barriers rural children, especially girls, face; lack of resources, cultural expectations, and limited access to quality education—and we are committed to changing this reality.
Over the years, we have reached thousands of rural children in Ghana with educational materials, mentorship programs, and led menstrual health campaigns that ensure no girl misses school because of her period. Our goal is to create communities where education, equality, and empowerment are not privileges but rights.
To empower rural children, youth, and girls through education, mentorship, health advocacy, and community development initiatives that break barriers and create opportunities for a better future.
A world where every child, regardless of location or background, has access to quality education and equal opportunities to reach their full potential and transform their communities.
